A clear cropping cycle — greenness swings from 0.356 in winter to 0.822 at peak (a 0.466 swing), with strong chlorophyll (NDRE 0.563). This is a well-grown summer crop.
Crop cover is uniform across the field (low variability). A smaller area — about 1.08 ha — reads below the field average; usually the headland and margins, occasionally a genuine thin patch, and flagged for you to glance at rather than hunt for.
Over a year, only 31.5% of optical satellite passes (56 of 178) were clear enough to use in this climate — the rest lost to cloud. Radar gave 76 passes in the same year, cloud or no cloud. That gap is the whole reason we build radar-first.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | You hand us a field boundary — a KML from your farm software, or we draw it on the map together. |
| 2 | We pull the real satellite record for that exact boundary — years of radar and optical passes. |
| 3 | Minutes later: crop cycle, uniformity, weak-zone flags and the all-weather picture — on your field, not a demo. |
| 4 | You keep it. If it's useful, a pilot adds the calibrated layers (waterlogging, yield, harvest timing) tuned to your ground. |
